Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead high power electrical designs for SPARC’s pulsed power system. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and translate requirements into robust hardware and control solutions.

Now you’ll apply expertise in medium/high voltage design, modeling, testing, and commissioning, while driving safety, quality, and on-time delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams from conception to implementation.
• Proven track record in design and implementation of power systems.
• Experience with modeling, simulation, and validation through testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead high power electrical designs for SPARC’s pulsed power system.
• Develop technical requirements for vendor electrical equipment.
• Develop test methods and test plans to qualify designs.
• Oversee installation, test, and operations handover for electrical designs.
• Lead electrical work package releases (drawings, schematics).
• Apply electrical engineering knowledge to design high power systems.
• Develop control narratives, operations concepts, and commissioning procedures.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are met.
