Job summary

Cindavi seeks a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to advance inverter technology for high-performance electric motors used inFormula 1, Formula E, and demanding applications. You will focus on next-generation inverters and proven field technology, with hands-on lab and field work, including customer sites.

Expect responsibility for power-stage design, hardware implementation, testing, and rapid iteration in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in power electronics.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience; 6–8+ years for senior level.
• Hands-on experience designing inverter hardware and power stages.
• Knowledge of power-converter topologies, gate-drive design, motor control, EMC, thermal issues.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-power-density inverters and related power electronics for specialty electric motor systems.
• Own portions of power-stage and inverter hardware design, analysis, implementation, and improvement.
• Test and validate systems in our in-house lab using dynamometers and test infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot fielded units and support rapid iteration during dyno tests, track days, and customer programs.
• Collaborate with software, controls, mechanical, electromagnetic, and project engineering teammates to deliver complete system solutions.
• Help shape next-generation platforms while improving existing products' reliability and performance.
