Job summary

Cindavi is hiring a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to design and advance the inverter technology behind high-performance electric motors for demanding applications. You’ll split focus between next-gen inverter systems and proven field technology, working in a lab, on dynamometers, and at customer sites.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with power electronics focus and 6–8+ years for senior scope, onsite in Eden Prairie/Minneapolis, MN, with occasional international

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in power electronics.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience; 6–8+ years for senior scope.
• Hands-on inverter hardware design experience (power stages, traction inverters, motor drives).
• Knowledge of power converter topologies, gate-drive design, motor control, high-voltage systems, EMC and thermal considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-power-density inverters and related power electronics for specialty electric motor systems.
• Own meaningful portions of power-stage and inverter hardware design, analysis, implementation, and improvement.
• Test and validate systems in our in-house lab using back-to-back motor dynamometers and advanced test infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot fielded units and support rapid iteration during dyno tests, track days, and customer programs.
• Partner closely with software, controls, mechanical, electromagnetic, and project engineering teammates to deliver complete system solutions.
• Help shape next-generation platforms while improving the reliability and performance of existing products.
