Job summary

Cindavi is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to design high-performance inverter systems for electric machines used in racing and demanding applications. You will own power-stage hardware design, drive improvements, and validate performance in our lab and on dynamometers.

The role combines hands-on hardware work with cross-disciplinary collaboration, with travel and onsite duties at Eden Prairie, MN, and opportunities to influence real-world power electronics performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in power electronics.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience; 6–8+ years for senior.
• Hands-on experience designing inverter hardware, power stages, traction inverters, or motor drives.
• Knowledge of power converter topologies, gate-drive design, motor control, high-voltage systems, EMC, and thermal management.
• Willingness to work onsite and travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-power-density inverters and related power electronics for specialty electric motor systems.
• Own meaningful portions of power-stage and inverter hardware design, analysis, implementation, and improvement.
• Test and validate systems in our in-house lab using back-to-back motor dynamometers and advanced test infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot fielded units and support rapid iteration during dyno tests, track days, and customer programs.
• Partner closely with software, controls, mechanical, electromagnetic, and project engineering teammates to deliver complete system solutions.
• Help shape next-generation platforms while improving the reliability and performance of existing products.
