GE Vernova's Advanced Concepts and Technology team seeks a Senior Electrical and Power Electronics Engineer to own the full lifecycle of high-power converters across industries. You will design, simulate, prototyp e, test, and support controls and software in real-time environments.

You will lead cross-functional teams, perform design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with UL, IEC, IEEE, NEC, and MIL standards.

Formación

• Ph.D. in power electronics or MSc in Power Electronics with 6+ years in the field.
• Strong understanding of high-density power converters and switching devices.
• Experience with PCB layout and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Proven ability to lead projects, perform design reviews, and mentor engineers.

Responsabilidades

• Review customer requirements across industrial, marine, renewable, and naval power converters.
• Lead architecture decisions, define detailed electrical specifications, and BOMs.
• Develop high-power converters using SiC, GaN, IGBT, SCR devices; design magnetics and gate drives.
• Own projects from concept to validated solution with docs and commissioning.
• Perform power electronics modeling using MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, LTspice for validation.
• Ensure compliance with UL, IEC, IEEE, NEC, MIL standards and support DFMEA.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure manufacturability.
