Job summary

Johnson Controls in New Freedom, PA is seeking a Staff Power Electronics Engineer to lead next‑generation power electronics and variable speed drive control solutions. You will own the development of advanced control algorithms for embedded processors using MATLAB/Simulink, guiding ideas from concept to reality.

You’ll be hands‑on throughout the product lifecycle—designing, testing, and sustaining electronic PCB assemblies and components, building prototypes, and validating performance against

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; 10+ years in power electronics and drives.
Strong MATLAB/SIMULINK modeling, simulation and controller design experience.
Experience with Auto-code generation and PCB design tools (Altium).

Responsibilities

Develop advanced control algorithms for embedded processors using MATLAB/Simulink.
Design, test, and sustain electronic PCB assemblies and components.
Build prototypes and validate performance against engineering requirements.
Influence product reliability, efficiency and real-world performance across the lifecycle.
Collaborate with engineering teams and support relocation as needed.
