Job summary

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corp. is seeking a highly talented Sr.

Engineer in Power Electronics, Power Management and Digital Controls to develop, test and validate advanced power conversion products for health, security and industrial applications. The role requires independent development of new concepts capable of mass production, with collaboration across engineering teams and on-site work at the Hauppauge, NY headquarters.

Qualifications

• BS degree with minimum 8 years of relevant experience or MS with 5+ years or PhD with 3+ years in Electrical Engineering.
• Expertise in power electronics converter design, modeling, build and test.
• Knowledge of SiC/GaN devices and digital control for high voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Design power conversion and control circuits from high level requirements.
• Perform modeling, simulations, testing, troubleshooting, and design reviews.
• Collaborate with engineering peers to implement features per product requirements.
• Ensure reliability and producibility through detailed circuit analysis and documentation.
• Support customer-driven product development as needed.
