Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking an experienced Engineering Technologist III to provide high-level technical expertise for complex power distribution facility designs across residential, commercial, industrial, large project work and grid reliability initiatives.

Responsibilities include preparing detailed project packages, interpreting standards, coordinating with clients and construction teams, and leading junior staff while upholding safety policies and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience. Required High school degree or GED.
• Note: In certain situations, an Associate Degree or 4-year degree may be required based upon client project or contractual requirements.
• Preferred A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in non-engineering science, math or business.

Responsibilities

• Interpret codes, standards and guidelines for work orders or projects.
• Develop complex site designs for electrical distribution facilities to serve various customers.
• Design overhead or underground distribution projects across multiple geographic areas.
• Prepare project packages with materials, drawings and requisitions.
• Coordinate with construction personnel and clients to resolve site issues.
• Create work requests and communicate schedules and expectations with customers.
• Apply reliability principles to resolve power quality issues using safe, cost-effective designs.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers to support business goals.
• Perform field work to validate customer and system requirements.
• Lead, mentor and train other classifications.
• Adhere to safety policies 100% of the time.
