Job summary

Pike Engineering in Greenville, SC is seeking a Power Engineering Technologist at the third level to deliver advanced design analyses for power distribution projects. You will assess complex design options, apply codes, and mentor less experienced team members while coordinating with operations leadership.

The role is on-site, requiring collaboration with construction teams and clients to ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality solutions across commercial and residential systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in utility power distribution engineering or related craft work.
• High school diploma or GED; an Associate degree may be required for certain projects.
• Ability to mentor and support less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Interpret codes and develop complex overhead and underground distribution designs across multiple geographic areas.
• Develop detailed project packages including material lists, site layouts, and drawings.
• Collaborate with construction teams, clients, and customers to resolve design and site challenges.
• Evaluate loading, power quality, and reliability to deliver safe, compliant solutions.
• Perform field assessments and build strong internal/external relationships.
• Support training and development of junior staff and ensure safety policy adherence.
• Participate in storm restoration activities as needed.
• Maintain clear communication of schedules and expectations using current tools.
