Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking an intermediate level Distribution Engineering Technologist to provide technical expertise for residential and small to mid-size commercial projects. The role focuses on safe, cost-effective, and reliable facility designs and involves working with clients on design and workflow processes.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of utility power distribution experience, familiarity with codes, and the ability to work with field teams.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required; AA or equivalent preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in non-engineering field may be required for some projects.
• 1–3 years experience in utility power distribution engineering or craft.

Responsibilities

• Interpret codes, standards, and guidelines for site designs.
• Develop moderately complex electrical distribution facility designs.
• Prepare project packages with drawings, material lists, and requisitions.
• Coordinate with construction and clients to resolve issues.
• Apply reliability principles to safe, cost-effective designs.
