Job summary

HDR is hiring a Senior Distribution Project Engineer to lead multi‑discipline design teams on complex power projects. You will coordinate engineers, manage client relations, and act as a technical lead to ensure compliant, on‑time delivery of project documents and designs.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and 10+ years of distribution experience in the Power Market Sector. Proficiency with PL S‑CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe and Revit is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in distribution design/execution.
Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by the licensing board.
Extensive experience in the Power Market Sector and project execution.
Proficiency with Power Market software (PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the work of design engineers with a multidiscipline team throughout project development.
Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings.
Serve as technical lead within the project execution team.
Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
Conduct schematic and design development sessions at project sites with the PM and other disciplines.
Coordinate workload to deliver project milestones on schedule.
Mentor other staff and direct activities of engineering professionals.
Perform other duties as needed.
