Job summary

Covestro in Baytown, TX is seeking a Principal Power Distribution Engineer to lead maintenance, reliability and project development of the PCT electrical power distribution infrastructure across the site.

The role requires ABET-accredited degree and 8+ years in industrial settings, with SKM/PowerDB proficiency and arc-flash/short circuit expertise; you will mentor teams and drive cost-reduction and reliability improvements.

Qualifications

Requires 12+ years (Bachelor) or 8+ years (Master) in electrical engineering, preferably with ABET accreditation.
Experience in industrial or petrochemical environments.
ABET-accredited engineering program.
TWIC eligibility within a reasonable timeframe.

Responsibilities

Verify compliance with engineering, safety, and procedures and improve asset reliability.
Participate in incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions.
Review maintenance repair scopes and PM intervals with the PD Maintenance Engineer.
Maintain as-built Power Distribution documentation and SKM model.
Develop strategies to address Power Distribution reliability and cost.
Provide engineering support across BUs; ensure standards are followed.
