Job summary

TotalEnergies' Port Arthur Platform in Texas invites a Senior Power Distribution Reliability Engineer to lead and optimize the power distribution network. You will partner with the Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering team to maintain reliability, safety, and efficiency on a major refinery platform.

With 5+ years in power distribution and strong knowledge of protective relaying and switchgear, you will drive life-cycle plans, coordinate across engineering, operations, and capital projects,

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years' experience.
• Knowledge of ISA, ANSI, NEC, NESC, IEEE, and OSHA 1910 standards as they apply to electrical equipment and safe work practices.
• Experience in protective relaying.
• Experience in the design and troubleshooting of electrical switchgear.
• Knowledge in the repair and control of both induction and synchronous motors.
• Experience in the use and interpretation of data collected with standard electrical test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with all groups within the Platform including Engineering, Businesses teams, Capital, and Turn Around.
• Oversee the design, selection, configuration, maintenance, development, and implementation of the life cycle plans for the power distribution systems at the refinery.
• Analyze existing systems, develop strategies for improving safety, reliability, efficiency, and quality of the power distribution systems by performing benchmarking and gap closure analysis for asset health.
• Troubleshoot the power distribution system failures and work with the Power Distribution Coordinator to ensure repairs are prioritized and completed in a timely manner.
• Provide technical support for the power distribution system as required.
