Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Distribution Systems
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite/Hybrid)
We're seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering team designing and delivering custom power distribution solutions for industrial and critical infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do
- Design electrical power distribution systems from customer specifications through final release.
- Develop one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Select and size electrical equipment including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, panelboards, ATS systems, and related equipment.
- Perform electrical calculations including load calculations, voltage drop, conductor sizing, grounding, and equipment selection.
- Coordinate with customers, manufacturing, project management, vendors, and field service throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning, and field troubleshooting.
- Ensure designs comply with NEC, IEEE, UL, NEMA, and customer specifications.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Power Engineering Technology (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with one-line diagrams, control schematics, equipment layouts, and electrical drawing packages.
- Knowledge of switchgear, MCCs, transformers, PCRs, PDCs, or electrical equipment buildings.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and standard electrical design practices.
- Understanding of NEC, IEEE, UL, and NEMA standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and customers.
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Medium-voltage power distribution
- Switchgear and motor control centers
- Power Control Rooms (PCRs)
- Power Distribution Centers (PDCs)
- E-Houses
- FAT testing and commissioning
- SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower
