Job summary

Randerson Technical Staffing is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead field evaluations and design power distribution solutions for industrial facilities in the Chicago area.

The role requires a BS in EE, 8+ years of experience, and a potential P.E. license. You will develop specifications, attend client meetings, and mentor project teams while ensuring code compliance and safe operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience.
• P.E. license preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering codes; arc flash experience preferred.
• Experience leading small teams and working across disciplines.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead field and technical evaluations of existing electrical power distribution systems
• Develop calculations, repair drawings, and repair/replacement recommendations
• Develop specifications and scope of work packages
• Attend client technical meetings and field walk-downs
• Provide technical support for field execution, including outage and turnaround projects
• Develop constructability planning, proposals, and estimates
• Support medium and low voltage power distribution for industrial plants
