Job summary

Data Center Frontier LLC in Chicago seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design critical power systems for new data centers and expansions. You will lead power distribution design, coordinate with trades, and develop construction documents using AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP.

The role requires 8–15 years of data-center experience, NEC and life-safety code knowledge, and strong client communication. You will mentor junior staff and help ensure on-schedule project delivery.

Qualifications

• 8-15 years of electrical design experience.
• Experience with data center/mission critical projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed PE or EIT a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC, Life Safety and Energy Conservation Codes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP.
• Experience with UPS, Generators and Switchgear.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong client communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects, designs and specifications for data center electrical systems.
• Lead design teams and coordinate with trades and stakeholders.
• Develop construction documents and review RFIs.
• Prepare sequences of operations and project closeout documents.
• Survey existing facilities and conduct field observations.
• Assist in proposal development including scope, schedule and budget.
