Job summary

Wolfspeed in Durham, NC is seeking a senior semiconductor product engineer to support yield and performance of power devices. You will tackle complex problems, drive solutions to deviations, and maintain yield performance for predictable starts and fab stability.

You will analyze tests, lead cross-functional teams, and implement DOE and statistical methods to prevent quality excursions and improve device health.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years with BS or 3 years with MS.
• Understanding of semiconductor processes and device physics.
• Experience in semiconductor die level test/final test.
• Proven track record of technical leadership.
• Experience in DOE, statistical analysis, and process control.

Responsibilities

• Monitor product yield and key device performance attributes to meet customer commitments.
• Apply data analysis to drive root causes for parametric shifts or issues.
• Analyze Power Device electrical tests and feedback deviations to stakeholders.
• Drive problem solving across multiple teams (process, flows, product).
• Respond to deviations in product lines and customer concerns to root cause.
• Coordinate with planning to align on yield roadmap and input start requirements.
• Develop solutions using structured problem-solving tools.
• Prevent quality excursions, monitor process performance, and analyze data for anomalies.
