Job summary

Supermicro in the United States is seeking a Senior Power DC-DC Hardware Engineer to own end-to-end power delivery design for next-generation server platforms. You will lead architecture, schematic capture, layout constraints, and validation of VRMs and POL regulators to ensure performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in board-level DC-DC power design, with deep knowledge of VR controllers, PMBus/I2C/SVID, and lab validation, plus mentoring and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on hardware engineering experience in DC-DC power design for server hardware.
• Strong proficiency with SMPS topologies, multiphase VR controllers, PMBus/I2C/SVID, and power integrity concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end DC-DC power delivery design for server platforms from architecture to validation.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams on PI/EMI and BOM decisions.
• Direct hardware bring-up, loop stability tuning, and performance profiling across varying conditions.
