Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Senior Power Supply Design Engineer who can lead the product design, review, and validation of server power supply and related products. The ideal engineer will be hands-on and shall have 5+ years ITE server power supply design experiences, covering PFC, flyback, LLC, phase shift, and power sharing in mass production with records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree plus 8 years switching mode power supply design.
• Totem Pole PFC development skills.
• Battery Backup Unit design (Battery charger, High power and high density DC-DC converter).
• AC input 3 phase PFC development skill.
• High power Brick DC to DC converter development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-efficiency, high-power-density power supplies and DC-to-DC converters.
• Support the development and testing of power shelves, including functional and performance validation.
• Participate in design reviews during new product development to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and reliability requirements.
• Contribute to performance optimization and quality improvement efforts for existing power supply products.
• Review second-source technical data and test reports, and assist with the implementation and validation of second-source components.
• Assist with power supply system analysis, including investigation of RMA issues and implementation of corrective actions to improve product reliability.
• Participate in power supply bench test and system level qualifications test.
