Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Power Supply Design Engineer to contribute to the design, review, and validation of server power supplies. The ideal candidate will be hands-on and have 2+ years of ITE server PSU design experience, covering PFC, flyback, LLC, phase shift, and OringFET in mass production.

You will collaborate across teams, assist product managers, and produce technical documentation, test procedures, and engineering reports to support validation, manufacturing quality, and readiness for

Qualifications

BSEE/MSEE with 2+ years of direct experience in AC to DC server power supply design.
Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality design with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
Experience with high power density designs and reliability-focused development.

Responsibilities

Design schematics and BOMs for server power supplies and perform debugging and testing.
Evaluate and propose new design approaches to improve efficiency and cost.
Plan projects, manage schedules, and ensure Time To Market objectives.
Collaborate with validation teams to resolve design signals and quality issues.
Produce technical documentation, layout instructions, and test procedures.
Support cross-functional teams and customers with technical insights.
