Job summary

Amphenol Power Solutions is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead product development initiatives across power connectors and cable assembly solutions, shaping technical direction and delivering high-quality, cost-efficient designs.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical/electro-mechanical background, Creo 3D CAD expertise, DFMEA and DFMA experience, and proven leadership to mentor teams and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and customers.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering is required.
Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical design and product development within electrical components, connector systems, or cable assemblies.
Expertise in power connector design including contact systems, sealing, and strain relief.
Strong 3D CAD experience, preferably Creo, with GD&T and DFMEA.
Experience with manufacturing processes and DFMA/DFM.
Proven leadership across engineering, manufacturing, and customer functions.

Responsibilities

Lead design reviews with cross-functional teams.
Drive cost reduction through innovative design and manufacturing improvements.
Provide technical guidance across the product development lifecycle.
Build prototypes, validation testing, and qualification for production releases.
Collaborate with global teams to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
Support manufacturing, tooling, and quality teams for successful product launches.
Manage ECNs/PCNs and drive continuous improvement.
