Job summary

NuAxis Innovations seeks a Senior Power BI Developer to design enterprise BI data models, complex DAX logic, dashboards, and performance–optimized datasets for federal solutions.

You will set BI standards, governance, and collaborate with data architects on pipelines while delivering robust security models and scalable reports. Certifications such as PL-300 and DP-600 are valued and supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/IT or related field with 5–8 years BI development experience.
• At least 3 years delivering enterprise Power BI solutions and PL-300 certification.
• Knowledge of fabric analytics and Azure data tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise semantic models, star schemas, and reusable dataset architectures.
• Develop complex DAX measures, calculation groups, and row-level security models.
• Optimize dataset refresh, query performance, and capacity utilization.
• Establish BI development standards, workspace promotion practices, and report certification criteria.
• Partner with data architects and engineers on upstream pipeline and data quality design.

We are currently seeking a Senior Power BI Developer for a Full-Time position.

Job Summary:

Designs enterprise business intelligence data models, complex DAX logic, dashboards, and performance-optimized datasets. Sets BI development standards and governs semantic model design.

Key Responsibilities

• Design enterprise semantic models, star schemas, and reusable dataset architectures.
• Develop complex DAX measures, calculation groups, and row-level security models.
• Optimize dataset refresh, query performance, and capacity utilization.
• Establish BI development standards, workspace promotion practices, and report certification criteria.
• Partner with data architects and engineers on upstream pipeline and data quality design.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Two (2) years of specialized experience may substitute for one (1) year of the academic requirement.
• Minimum Experience: Five (5) to eight (8) years of business intelligence development experience, including at least three (3) years delivering enterprise Power BI solutions.
• Certifications — Required: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300).
• Certifications — Obtainable After Hire: Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600), within 180 days of assignment.
• Certifications — Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate; Power Platform Solution Architect Expert.
• Required Skills: Advanced DAX; Power Query and M; dimensional data modeling; BI governance; performance tuning; row-level security; SQL.
• Preferred Skills: Power Platform integration; Azure data services; Premium capacity management; accessible dashboard design.

Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service; DAX and Power Query (M); Tabular Editor and DAX Studio; Microsoft Fabric; Azure SQL, SQL Server, and Snowflake data sources; dataflows and deployment pipelines; Power BI Premium and capacity metrics; row-level and object-level security; Power Automate and Power Apps integration; Analysis Services tabular models.
