Job summary

Influxinfosys seeks an experienced Power BI Developer to design and operationalize enterprise analytics using Power BI and Azure Synapse Analytics. You will collaborate with data owners, security teams, PMO, and stakeholders to deliver governed, high-performing reporting solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence/Analytics.
• At least 3 years of enterprise-level Power BI development experience.
• Expert-level DAX and strong Power Query/M skills.
• Strong experience with tabular/semantic modeling and SQL.
• Experience implementing RLS, OLS, workspace governance, and secure data sharing.
• Experience with Power BI Deployment Pipelines, Azure DevOps, and DEV/PROD promotion.
• Strong understanding of Power BI Premium capacities and licensing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to design, develop, secure, and operationalize enterprise analytics solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Azure Synapse Analytics.

The successful candidate will work with enterprise data warehouse teams, data owners, security teams, PMO, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, governed, and high-performing reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic/tabular models using star-schema architecture.
• Develop advanced DAX measures, KPIs, calculations, and reusable reporting logic.
• Build interactive reports using drill-through, bookmarks, tooltips, and parameterized views.
• Develop Power Query/M transformations while maintaining data lineage and governance standards.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS).
• Manage Power BI workspaces, datasets, permissions, and governance.
• Work with Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, classification, and lineage.
• Optimize Power BI performance using composite models, aggregations, Incremental Refresh, Import, DirectQuery, and Direct Lake.
• Use Power BI Deployment Pipelines and Azure DevOps for version control and DEV-to-PROD deployment.
• Support CI/CD, refresh automation, service principals, Key Vault secrets, approvals, and rollback processes.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data stewards, InfoSec, PMO, and business stakeholders.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, DAX catalogs, security matrices, SOPs, and UAT scripts.
• Provide knowledge transfer and coaching to report developers and business users.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Equivalent experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis where applicable.
• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence/Analytics.
• At least 3 years of enterprise-level Power BI development experience.
• Expert-level DAX and strong Power Query/M skills.
• Strong experience with tabular/semantic modeling and SQL.
• Experience implementing RLS, OLS, workspace governance, and secure data sharing.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments involving CJIS and/or HIPAA requirements.
• Experience with Power BI Deployment Pipelines, Azure DevOps, and DEV/PROD environment promotion.
• Strong understanding of Power BI Premium capacities and licensing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst certification.
• DP-600 Fabric Analytics Engineer certification.
• Microsoft DP-203 Azure Data Engineer certification.
• Microsoft AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals certification.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Experience with data warehousing and Lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview.
• Experience with large-scale Power BI performance optimization and enterprise data governance.

Security & Compliance Requirements

• Position is designated as essential staff and may require reporting to duty during emergencies as directed by FDC.
• Selected candidate must successfully complete a Level II Background Check.
• Candidates requiring access to the Department network must complete Security Awareness Training within 30 calendar days of hire.
• Experience working with sensitive or regulated data is highly desirable.
