Job summary

NuAxis is seeking a Senior Power BI Administrator to manage enterprise Power BI service administration, including gateway configuration, workspace management, security governance, and deployment pipelines for secure, high-performance BI delivery.

The role requires 5–8 years in BI platform administration, certifications PL-300 or PL-200, and a strong focus on governance, capacity management, and monitoring. This is a full-time position with emphasis on enterprise-scale BI support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; OR an Associate's with experience.
• 5–8 years of Power BI or BI platform administration experience.
• Required certifications: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or Power Platform Administrator Associate (PL-200).
• Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate; Information Protection Administrator.
• Responsibilities focus on Power BI service administration, governance, security, and deployment pipelines.

Job Summary

Manages enterprise Power BI service administration including gateway configuration, workspace management, security, governance, and deployment pipelines to ensure secure, high-performance BI delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer the Power BI tenant, workspaces, apps, and deployment pipelines.
• Configure and maintain data gateways, refresh schedules, and data source connections.
• Implement row-level security, tenant settings, and sensitivity labeling.
• Manage capacity allocation, monitoring, and usage analytics.
• Define and enforce BI governance, certification, and content lifecycle policies.
• Troubleshoot refresh failures, performance degradation, and access issues.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; OR an Associate's degree plus two (2) additional years of relevant experience. Two (2) years of specialized experience may substitute for one (1) year of the academic requirement.
• Minimum Experience: Five (5) to eight (8) years of Power BI or business intelligence platform administration experience.
• Certifications - Required: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or Power Platform Administrator Associate (PL-200).
• Certifications - Obtainable After Hire: Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600), within 180 days of assignment.
• Certifications - Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate; Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator.
• Required Skills: Power BI service administration; workspace and app management; gateway configuration; row-level security; tenant settings; deployment pipelines; capacity management; monitoring and usage analytics.
• Preferred Skills: Power Platform administration; Azure integration; Premium and Embedded analytics; governance framework implementation; federal experience.

Technical Environment

Power BI Admin Portal and tenant settings; Power Platform admin center; on-premises data gateway clusters; deployment pipelines; Premium capacity metrics app; Microsoft Fabric capacity administration; Microsoft Entra ID security groups; Power BI REST and PowerShell admin APIs; Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels; usage metrics and audit logs.
