Job summary

Medvantx in Louisville, KY seeks a Sr. Data & Reporting Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support enterprise reporting and data integration solutions. You will lead Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and reporting datasets to enable data-driven decisions.

The role focuses on robust SQL Server data warehouses, ETL with SSIS, and cloud data with Fabric and Azure Data Factory. Collaboration with stakeholders, automation, and scalable architectures like OneLake and Medallion Framework

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 3-5 years of data engineering with Microsoft/Azure focus.
• Advanced Power BI with star schema, DAX, and deployment pipelines.
• Strong SQL Server development and T-SQL skills.
• Experience with SSIS and cloud data orchestration (ADF).
• Familiarity with Fabric, OneLake, and data governance basics.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards from multiple sources.
• Tune performance with DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, and related tooling.
• Develop data transformation notebooks using PySpark and Delta Lake.
• Design SQL Server structures, schemas, and indexing strategies.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.
• Maintain SSIS-based ETL processes and cloud data movement.
• Translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Architect OneLake strategy and connect diverse data estates.
• Build Medallion Architecture data ingestion and processing frameworks.
• Design Fabric-based data solutions and manage capacity usage.
• Analyze execution plans to reduce bottlenecks and deadlocks.
• Develop ADF ingestion and orchestration workflows.
