Job summary

AFL is seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to join the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team. This role designs, develops, and supports enterprise reporting across the Microsoft data platform, with emphasis on semantic modeling, DAX, SQL, and data warehousing.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Warehousing.
5+ years of hands‑on Power BI development experience.
Experience delivering enterprise‑scale reporting and analytics solutions.
Experience working directly with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise Power BI solutions, including semantic models, dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards.
Translate business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
Design and implement dimensional data models using star schema and best-practice modeling techniques.
Develop analytical solutions supporting operational reporting and BI initiatives.
Ensure consistency of KPI definitions and data calculations across the ecosystem.
Support self-service reporting while maintaining governance and data quality standards.
Collaborate with data engineers to design and support data pipelines and analytics solutions.
Work with data from Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Fabric, SQL Server, Excel, and other systems.
Assist with migration and modernization initiatives involving cloud platforms.
