Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer in Houston to lead design, development, governance, and support of enterprise BI solutions. The role partners with DBAs, ETL teams, data engineers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics environments.

The ideal candidate will have deep Power BI, SSAS/SSRS experience and strong data architecture knowledge, with a focus on performance, security, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent combos may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power BI.
• 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise data warehouse and BI environments.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
• Experience deploying, supporting, and administering large-scale BI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise BI solutions using Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, and related reporting technologies.
• Lead requirements gathering, solution architecture, system design, estimation, development, testing, deployment, training, and ongoing support.
• Design and govern enterprise semantic models, including measures, hierarchies, calculations, KPIs, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Develop advanced DAX calculations and optimize data models, SQL queries, and reporting solutions for performance and scalability.
• Design and deliver executive dashboards and interactive reports using Power BI best practices.
• Collaborate with DBAs, ETL developers, data engineers, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver integrated BI solutions.
