PostcardMania seeks a Lead BI & Data Platform Engineer to design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards and data solutions. You will translate business needs into performant analytics, collaborate with the Tech Lead, and drive reporting quality across departments.

The role emphasizes hands-on BI development, data modeling, and SQL proficiency, with opportunities to shape our data platform while partnering with business users.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building BI solutions with Power BI and dashboards.
• Strong SQL abilities: joins, aggregations, CTEs, views, queries on relational databases.
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, fact/dimension tables, and star schemas.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards for multiple departments.
• Develop semantic models, relationships, calculated columns, and measures in DAX.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and leverage SQL Server views/data warehouse tables.
• Use Power Query and data transformation tools to shape data for reporting.
• Create intuitive, visually consistent, responsive reports for business users.
• Troubleshoot performance, data accuracy, refresh failures, and gateway issues.
• Collaborate with Tech Lead and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Validate data and reconcile results against source systems.
• Document report logic, data sources, and key technical details for maintenance.
