Barloworld Equipment is seeking a senior analytics leader to own the Power BI reporting function. You will design, develop and govern dashboards and semantic models while mentoring analysts and ensuring trusted, business-ready data.

You will partner with data engineering and governance teams to define KPIs, drive adoption of BI solutions, and ensure high-quality outputs that align with business needs. This role requires strong leadership and clear stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Extensive experience with Power BI in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience in semantic modelling and DAX.
• Experience in analytics leadership or senior technical role.
• Experience working with data platforms (preferably Azure and Snowflake) and SQL.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, development, and delivery of Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models
• Define and enforce analytics standards (data models, DAX, UX, deployment practices)
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to BI developers and analysts
• Own quality assurance across all reporting and analytics outputs
• Partner with data engineering and governance teams to ensure trusted, business-ready data
• Engage stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and reporting standards
• Drive adoption and effective use of Power BI across the organisation
• High-quality Power BI dashboards and reports
• Standardised, reusable semantic data models
• Defined analytics standards and governance frameworks
• Trusted KPI frameworks and consistent metric definitions
