Southern Company is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to design and maintain Power BI dashboards, collaborating with Infrastructure Services and ISAC teams to transform complex infrastructure data into actionable insights. The role emphasizes data quality, governance, and scalable reporting across multiple stakeholders.

You will partner with data owners and leadership to define requirements, automate processes, and present analytical findings that drive strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 5+ years in analytics, BI, or data analysis.
• 3+ years of advanced Power BI development.
• Experience with large, multi-source data sets.
• Strength in communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Insider Threat certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Deliver executive, operational, asset, risk, and performance reporting.
• Build scalable data models and semantic layers for consistency.
• Develop KPI and metric reporting to tell the value story.
• Transform large data sets into actionable insights.
• Partner with leaders to define requirements and objectives.
• Consult with stakeholders on reporting solutions and visuals.
• Present findings to leadership audiences.
• Assist with data quality issues and governance.
• Automate reporting and integrate new data sources.
• Mentor analysts in Power BI capabilities.
