Job summary

RTX in North Texas seeks a Senior Power & Analog Design Engineer for on-site work in McKinney, TX. You will design analog/power conversion circuit cards, perform detailed analyses, simulations, and testing, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include defining architecture, leading small teams, and guiding ECAD through layout, plus mentorship of junior engineers. A DoD secret clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with non-isolated converter topologies (buck, boost, buck-boost).
• Analog electronics design including FETs/BJTs, op-amps, and filters.
• Experience with MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica or similar.
• Experience with schematic capture/CAD for PCBs.

Responsibilities

• Define circuit card architecture and lead design, analysis, test and documentation.
• Lead integration and verification in engineering labs and plan schedules.
• Collaborate with ECAD drafters on layout, stackup, routing.
• Provide product test and root-cause failure investigations.
• Support internal/external design reviews and mentorship.
