Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Information Systems or related field
• Experience: 5+ years of related experience
• Required Technical Skills: AWS RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL administration, advanced SQL, Python for data engineering

Responsibilities

• Administer and support AWS-hosted PostgreSQL environments (RDS/Aurora) including backups and maintenance
• Manage snapshot retention, restoration, and refresh across environments
• Provide database/migration support for major releases with schema changes and rollbacks
• Monitor health, connections, locks, long-running queries, and replication status
• Perform SQL performance tuning and index optimization
• Troubleshoot incidents across databases, pipelines, and connectivity
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Python, SQL, and AWS data services
• Support CDC/streaming architectures with AWS DMS, Kinesis, Debezium, MSK/Kafka
• Enable near real-time movement to reporting schemas, data lakes, Snowflake, Databricks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and reliability
