Job summary

Midwest Tape, LLC is seeking a Senior Database Developer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise PostgreSQL solutions supporting product, analytics, and operations. The role emphasizes scalable, secure database environments leveraging AWS technologies, including Aurora and Redshift.

You will collaborate with software, infra, and BI teams to deliver reliable data architecture, optimize performance, and enable data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of database development experience.
• 5+ years of PostgreSQL development (PL/pgSQL).
• Experience with AWS Redshift/Aurora and data warehousing.
• Experience with data governance, security, and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable, high-performance PostgreSQL solutions.
• Write complex SQL, PL/pgSQL, and stored procedures.
• Monitor, tune, and improve database performance and reliability.
• Lead version upgrades and evaluate new PostgreSQL/Aurora/Redshift features.
• Design data pipelines and IaC using Terraform for provisioning.
