Job summary

NYU Grossman School of Medicine, part of NYU Langone Health, seeks a Senior Advanced Post Processing Imaging Specialist in Radiology. You will manipulate CT and MRI data with post-processing software to provide visualization and quantitative analysis for diagnostic studies.

You’ll ensure accurate transfer to workstations and PACS, collaborate with physicians, and update scheduling/billing in the RIS. Strong independence and HIPAA compliance are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination.
• ARRT or CRT certification is required.
• Advanced ARRT registration in CT or MRI is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates software for post-processed images from CT, MRI, Angiography for visualization.
• Recognizes indications for post processing and appropriate imaging studies.
• Performs views, measurements, and evaluates image quality and artifacts.
• Ensures post-processed images are networked to PACS and viewing/archival systems.
• Collaborates with radiologists to ensure clinical value and sufficiency.
• Updates scheduling and billing records in the radiology information system.
• Performs routine workflow and special projects independently.
• Complies with HIPAA, health, safety, and privacy practices.
• Provides technical consultation to research or educational services.
• Assists with publication materials and interacts with industry partners.
