Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Miami, FL, seeks a Senior Project Manager - Ports & Maritime to lead planning, design and delivery of port and waterfront projects across North America. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients, regulators, and partners, and drive success from pursuit through closeout.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in ports/maritime, a PE license or equivalent, strong leadership and client management skills, and a proven track record of delivering budgets on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Planning, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in ports, maritime, waterfront, transportation, or related infrastructure projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or relevant professional certification.
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects and teams.
• Proven client-facing and project delivery experience.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex ports and maritime projects, ensuring delivery of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams including engineering, planning, environmental, permitting, coastal, and construction management professionals.
• Oversee execution from pursuit through design, construction and closeout.
• Manage project financial performance, including forecasting, resource planning, risk management and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, regulatory standards and company quality procedures.
• Serve as primary contact for port authorities, maritime agencies, terminal operators, and private-sector clients.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and strategic account growth.
• Support market growth through business development and seller-doer activities.
• Lead or support RFQs, RFPs, presentations, interviews, and contract negotiations.
