Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Miami, FL, seeks a Senior Project Manager - Ports & Maritime to lead planning, design and delivery of complex port projects across North America. You will advise port authorities, operators and agencies while guiding engineering, environmental and construction teams through all project phases.

You will manage budgets, schedules and risks, build strong client relationships, pursue new work, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Planning, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in ports, maritime, waterfront, transportation, or related infrastructure projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or relevant professional certification.
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects and teams.
• Proven client-facing and project delivery experience.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and contracts.
• Strong communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex ports and maritime projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams across engineering, planning, environmental, permitting, coastal, and construction management.
• Oversee project execution from pursuit through design, construction and closeout.
• Manage project financial performance including forecasting and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, regulatory standards, and quality procedures.
• Serve as primary contact for port authorities, maritime agencies, and private-sector clients.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and strategic account growth.
• Support market growth through business development and seller-doer activities.
