Job summary

Stantec is seeking a licensed Project Engineer Ports and Marine Structural Engineer to join the Transportation Florida team. Based in Florida with potential offices in Tampa, the role focuses on leading structural design for ports and marine terminals, delivering projects on time and on budget.

Qualifications

• Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of structural design codes, standards, and port/marine guidelines.
• Strong understanding of all phases of project document production from drawings to specifications.
• Strong knowledge of marine structural systems, means and methods, and industry standards.
• Ability to lead one or more teams through all phases of project document production.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for marine structures and port-related projects of varying complexity.
• Develops project work plans and ensures execution through oversight and management of the project team.
• Evaluates, selects, specifies, and engineers all structural engineered systems or products for a project.
• Engages in the development of a design through analysis, design, drawings, electronic models, diagrams, and other formats.
• Prepares and revises documentation through site plans, sections, diagrams, and details.
• Participates in client project requirement meetings, value analysis, and cost estimating.
• Leads the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documents.
• Participates in constructability reviews.
