Wintrust Financial Corporation in Chicago seeks a Portfolio Manager to support the Middle Market and ESOP Finance teams, analyzing financial statements from $20M to $500M revenue and calculating credit metrics such as cash flow, leverage, and collateral coverage.

You will be the primary contact for client relations, coordinate reporting, review loan documentation, and present credit recommendations to credit administration while ensuring compliance with bank policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years’ commercial credit experience including corporate banking/middle market.
• Thorough understanding of risk management and credit mitigants.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling abilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of commercial customers in partnership with the relationship manager.
• Provide support and oversight of reporting for portfolio management (delinquency, problem loans, exceptions, tickler tracking).
• Coordinate collection and review of financial statements, tax returns, covenant compliance certificates, and borrowing bases.
• Monitor portfolio for early warning signs and mitigate risk with borrowers.
