Wintrust Financial Corporation is seeking a Portfolio Manager to support the Middle Market and ESOP Finance teams, analyzing business financials from $20M to $500M in revenue. You will calculate credit metrics like cash flow, leverage, and collateral, serving as the main client contact and maintaining high responsiveness.

You will structure, underwrite, and review complex loan transactions, provide credit recommendations, and interface with audits and regulatory exams.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years’ commercial credit experience including corporate banking, middle market; leveraged lending experience preferred
• Strong risk management understanding and credit mitigants
• Knowledge of risk ratings analysis, corporate finance and/or research
• Strong analytical and financial modeling abilities
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability establishing client relationships
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced Excel modeling

Aufgaben

• Manage an assigned portfolio of commercial customers in partnership with the relationship manager.
• Provide support and oversight of reporting for portfolio management (delinquency, problem loans, exceptions, tickler tracking, etc.) as designated by the CCO.
• Coordinate collection and review of financial statements, tax returns, covenant compliance certificates, and/or borrowing bases to comply with customers’ reporting requirements.
• Monitor assigned portfolio for early warning signs of financial weakness or other risks and work with borrowers to develop and execute an appropriate plan to mitigate risk and/or transfer to Special Assets Group.
• Prepare credit packages for annual reviews, renewals, loan requests, portfolio reviews and criticized asset reviews.
• Structure and underwrite complex commercial loan transactions in an assigned portfolio and new business transactions.
• Provide credit recommendations to the appropriate level of credit administration in verbal and written settings.
• Review and negotiate loan documentation in consultation with legal counsel and ensure renewals and modifications are properly closed.
• Serve as contact for, provide support of and responses to internal audits, loan review, compliance reviews and regulatory exams for the bank.
• Comply with all bank policies and procedures as well as applicable state and federal regulations
