Job summary

Welty Energy & Infrastructure, LLC is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join our Special Projects (Distribution) team. This role will lead a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators, foster client relationships, and drive process improvement for electric utility projects across the Midwest and Northeast.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with travel of 10–20% and opportunities to mentor staff, develop talent, and contribute to strategic initiatives as part of the WE&I

Qualifications

Ten years of experience in project management, preferably in electric utilities.
Five years of experience managing people or teams.
PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven leadership and organizational abilities to drive project success.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators in transmission and distribution projects.
Recruit and retain high-quality talent and support career development.
Assign projects, provide guidance, and attend site visits as needed.
Serve as SME for client software, tools, and processes used by the team.
Foster a Welty virtual environment via Microsoft Teams and participate in salary administration.
