Job summary

Welty Energy & Infrastructure (WE&I) seeks a Portfolio Manager to lead a Special Projects team focused on transmission and distribution. Location is Akron, OH, with remote work options in Pennsylvania, and 10–20% travel to client sites.

You will develop talent, assign projects, and ensure best practices across software and processes while driving profitability and client satisfaction. This role places you on WE&I’s Management Team to deliver excellence for electric utilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field required.
• Ten years of experience managing projects; electric utility PM preferred.
• Five+ years of people-management experience; PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators for transmission and distribution projects.
• Recruit and retain high-quality talent; support career development and performance reviews.
• Assign projects, provide guidance, and supervise safety and field observations during visits.
• Be SME for client software, tools and processes; train staff and foster Welty virtual collaboration.
• Drive utilization, profitability, and client satisfaction; collaborate with Engineering and other groups.
• Support pursuit of new business and contribute to strategic initiatives.
