Job summary

FirstBank is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to support Relationship Manager sales efforts through growth, development and management of loan portfolios. The role requires independent risk assessment, advanced financial analysis and leadership to ensure profitability and asset quality across client portfolios.

You will collaborate with RM teams, review and monitor credit processes, and present findings for board approval while maintaining strict compliance with bank policies and industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or similar field preferred.
• Experience in banking portfolio management required; knowledge of loan structures and sound credit recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Advise RM team with advanced credit knowledge to drive portfolio growth.
• Negotiate between Sales and Credit to support the sales process.
• Review loan documents pre- and post-closing for the bank’s systems.
• Prepare, review, and monitor reports to ensure FirstBank compliance and credit monitoring.
• Analyze complex credit requests and perform financial statement analysis using standard tools.
• Prepare reports on loan commitments and balances for board approval.
• Collaborate with market leadership to promote client portfolio growth and asset quality.
• Monitor past due information and future maturities; alert RMs as needed.
• Analyze key financial metrics for loan risk rating matrices.
• May lead others and develop PM team skills.
