Job summary

FirstBank seeks an experienced Relationship Manager to grow and manage consumer, C&I and CRE loan and deposit portfolios. The RM will balance loan production with credit quality, assess risk, and align FirstBank products to client needs through creative solutions.

The role involves underwriting, monitoring asset quality, prospecting new clients, and delivering consultative guidance to Centers of Influence. Strong knowledge of treasury, capital markets, and regulatory compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum five years of banking or business development experience; in-market experience preferred.
• NMLS Certification within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active portfolio of consumer, C&I and CRE loan relationships and meet/exceed sales goals in deposits, loans, revenue growth, profitability.
• Demonstrate credit underwriting and loan documentation skills; complete proper underwriting and approve within authority or with Credit Officer.
• Review and monitor asset quality; monitor past due information, collateral exceptions, risk rating and borrowing bases.
• Develop new business by identifying prospective clients and referral sources for all bank products and services.
• Provide consultative guidance to Relationship Managers and Market Presidents on C&I relationships.
• Demonstrate product knowledge of deposits, loans, Treasury Management and Capital Markets.
• Read, understand and analyze client financial statements in correlation to business operations.
• Manage the full loan process including preparation of approval and closing documents; address loan processing and payment issues.
• Represent FirstBank at community activities and build networks.
• Provide consistent service to all clients and adhere to laws and bank policies.
• Practice safe bank procedures and ensure internal controls.
