Job summary

First Bank is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join our team in a primarily in-person role. You will oversee the loan portfolio, coordinate with Commercial Sales, and ensure documentation and servicing are accurate while building strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years in financial services, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and a proactive approach to growing client deposits and cross-sell opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• 2 years financial services industry or related experience.
• Knowledge: Bank products, rules, and regulations.
• Motivation: Desire to grow in career.

Responsibilities

• Uncovers client needs and recommends bank products and services.
• Conducts weekly meetings to manage loan pipeline, past-due, maturing loans, and client needs.
• Communicates with clients and third parties to obtain information/documentation.
• Supports Relationship Managers and Mortgage Officers with loan origination and portfolio management tasks.
• Develops relationships with clients and serves as primary contact for loan servicing and administrative matters.
• Prepares for client calls through internal and external research and renewals.
• Monitors loan portfolio quality and reports findings to the RM as applicable.
• Identifies opportunities to deepen deposit relationships using tax returns or financial statements.
• Complies with bank policies and required BSA/compliance courses.
