Job summary

Citigroup's Citi Wealth Chief Investment Office seeks a Senior Portfolio Specialist to help bankers and investment counsellors build bespoke portfolios, deliver client-centric analytics, and translate global CIO views into actionable asset allocations.

You will design multi-asset strategies, perform risk analytics, and present recommendations to clients and internal teams, traveling 15-30% to support regional markets in North America.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Modern Portfolio Theory, asset allocation techniques, portfolio simulation, risk analytics, financial markets and investment strategies.
• Knowledge of Capital Markets and Managed Investment products including derivatives and alternative investments.
• Knowledge with financial modelling (including Monte Carlo simulation, optimization, and regression) and statistical analysis tools.
• Soft skills include a can-do attitude, sense of ownership and a team-player approach.
• Education: Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Fully own and drive the process on a client by client basis of translating Citi Wealth CIO global and regional investment views into concrete asset allocation recommendations on a whole portfolio basis across both public and private market asset classes.
• Design customized asset allocation strategies for clients' portfolios using proprietary models and tools. Comprehensive investment strategies may be multi-asset class or within a single asset class and can incorporate a client's total balance sheet and cash flow needs, including philanthropy goals and generational transfer requirements.
• Perform in-depth analysis on individual investment products, strategies, and portfolios across asset classes.
• Perform statistical modeling across asset classes, including building in-house applications that allow insights to be scaled across the investment organization.
• Develop objective, actionable proposals for clients.
• Interact with clients to present and discuss portfolio analysis and investment proposals. Discuss and educate others - internally and externally - on portfolio and investment topics openly and confidently.
• Partner with regional leadership from the client organization to identify and address market-specific strategic priorities, delivering tailored outputs that reflect the unique needs and behaviors of each market and support the region's agenda.
• Partner with manager selection and product teams across Citi Wealth to deliver whole portfolio solutions to clients.
