Exponent is seeking an experienced Principal Scientist in the Polymers & Chemistry Practice. The role leads interdisciplinary project teams to solve complex polymer-related challenges for diverse industries, with travel across U.S. offices.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of consulting experience in polymers/materials science, strong client-facing skills, and a proven track record of business development, with a willingness to generate >$1M in annual revenue.

Qualifications

• PhD in Polymer Science or Materials Science with focus on polymer structure-property-end use relationships.
• Minimum of 10 years of consulting experience in polymer science/materials science space.
• Proven track record of business generation and attracting new and repeat clients or funding.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
