Exponent is seeking a Principal Scientist to lead interdisciplinary teams in Polymers & Chemistry across U.S. offices. You will guide development, testing, and end-use performance of polymeric materials for life sciences, consumer products, infrastructure, and automotive applications.

Qualifications

  • PhD required in Polymer or Materials Science with emphasis on structure–property–end-use relationships.
  • Minimum 10 years of consulting experience in polymer or materials science.
  • Proven track record of business generation and attracting clients or funding.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead interdisciplinary project teams to solve complex polymer-related challenges for diverse clients.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new client engagements and long-term partnerships.
