Exponent is seeking a Principal Scientist to lead interdisciplinary teams in Polymers & Chemistry across U.S. offices. You will guide development, testing, and end-use performance of polymeric materials for life sciences, consumer products, infrastructure, and automotive applications.

The role requires a track record of generating new business, managing client portfolios exceeding $1 million annually, and mentoring technical staff toward leadership. Expect travel and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• PhD required in Polymer or Materials Science with emphasis on structure–property–end-use relationships.
• Minimum 10 years of consulting experience in polymer or materials science.
• Proven track record of business generation and attracting clients or funding.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with diverse audiences.
