Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
• Deep expertise in polymer synthesis, characterization, and structure-property relationships.
• Strong knowledge of silicones, adhesives, elastomers, and surfactant chemistry.
• Proven track record from research to commercialization.
• Experience with DOE, statistics, and experimental design.
• Patent generation and independent research leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, synthesis, and characterization of advanced polymers and adhesives.
• Investigate structure-property relationships to unlock performance.
• Develop formulations balancing performance, manufacturability, cost, and IP.
• Design and execute research programs with DOE and data-driven decisions.
• Scale technologies from concept to production with engineering teams.
• Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to accelerate innovation.
• Identify emerging technologies and strategic growth opportunities.
• Communicate findings through reports and leadership.
