Job summary

Advanced Energy United seeks a Policy Principal to shape political strategy for the DMEE team. You will cultivate relationships with governors, state regulators, energy officials, and policymakers nationwide, guiding strategy and communications for policy priorities.

The ideal candidate has advocacy/policy experience, strong project management and communication skills, and thrives in a remote environment with quarterly travel to engage key stakeholders. Residence in the U.S. preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in advocacy or policy campaigns is required or preferred.
• Ability to translate complex policy topics for diverse audiences.
• Proven track record building relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own political strategy for Midwest state relationships.
• Develop communication strategies reflecting state energy outlooks and politics.
• Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, advocates, coalitions, industry experts, and regulators.
• Use project management tools to deliver short- and long-term goals.
• Maintain knowledge management and program information for continuity.
• Communicate progress and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to strategy and tactic ideation to improve program efficacy.
