Amazon Inc. seeks a Senior Policy Manager for Chemical & Environmental Compliance in Arlington, VA to lead policy development and execution across global regulatory landscapes.

You will mentor a team, translate complex regulations into actionable policies, and engage regulators to shape constructive dialogue. This leadership role requires deep regulatory expertise in PFAS, heavy metals, DOE, and EPA, with the ability to align policies with business needs while protecting customers and scale

Formación

• Experience developing and implementing of standards, policies and programs or equivalent.
• Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
• 8+ years of professional experience in chemical compliance, environmental compliance, or a closely related regulatory field.
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, Environmental Policy, or a related discipline.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the Senior Policy Expert for chemical and environmental compliance, establishing policy positions on product compliance with global laws and regulations.
• Lead and manage a team of junior subject matter experts, providing mentorship and professional development.
• Develop, author, and maintain policies related to PFAS, heavy metals, DOE, EPA regulations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with legal and category teams to ensure product compliance across Amazon's catalog.
• Engage with external regulators to represent Amazon's compliance positions and advocate practical regulatory approaches.
• Monitor the evolving global regulatory landscape for chemical and environmental compliance and identify risks and opportunities.
• Drive alignment across stakeholders to ensure consistent interpretation and application of policies across regions.
